Hi, I'm Lindsay Bachman—founder of Emberfly (formerly CityFlicker Freelance). I help high-growth startups turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that drive revenue and build momentum.
Work With Me
For over a decade, I've partnered with founders, executives, and leadership teams to build go-to-market strategies, craft executive communications, enable partner programs, and create events that people actually remember. Whether it's positioning a product for launch, ghost-writing thought leadership for a CEO, or turning a conference booth into a lead-generation machine—I bring strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a healthy dose of color to everything I build.
I started my career in human resources and organizational development, which taught me something essential: great marketing isn't just about messaging—it's about understanding people. What motivates them. What confuses them. What makes them trust you enough to take action. That people-first approach has shaped everything I do, from brand strategy to partner enablement to event design.
Working with me means you get more than strategy decks and messaging frameworks. You get someone who thinks like a strategist, executes like an operator, and cares deeply about making your work stand out. I don't do beige marketing. I bring energy, personality, and memorable experiences to campaigns, events, product launches, and executive communications. The goal isn't just to get things done—it's to create work that people notice, remember, and act on.
My background spans B2B SaaS, climate tech, financial services, and professional services. I've worked with Fortune 100 brands, scrappy startups, and everything in between. I'm equally comfortable building a national partner program, ghost-writing a CEO's keynote, or coordinating a sponsored happy hour that actually drives pipeline.
I hold a Master's in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University (where I graduated summa cum laude) and a Bachelor's in Human Resources Management from Geneva College. That mix of communications expertise and people operations gives me a unique lens on how to build marketing that aligns teams, motivates action, and scales effectively.
Outside of client work, I'm the co-founder and admin of Pittsburgh Moms Connect—what started as a handful of women looking for community has grown into Western Pennsylvania's largest grassroots parenting network, with over 20,000 members. Building that community taught me a lot about what makes people engage, stick around, and become advocates. Those same principles show up in how I think about partner programs, brand loyalty, and customer engagement.
